MISENHEIMER, N.C. – The Birmingham-Southern men's lacrosse team dropped its second straight game on the road on Saturday, falling to Pfeiffer 19-17.
After holding an 8-7 lead going into halftime, the Panthers were outscored 12-9 by the Falcons in the final 30 minutes.
Junior attack Carter Watkins (Charlotte, N.C./Adrey Kell HS) led the BSC offense in the loss, scoring a season-high six goals. Sophomore Carter McAlpin (Trussville, Ala./Hewitt-Trussville HS) was close behind with five goals in the game.
Sophomore midfielder Josh Knight (Melbourne, Fla./Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy) recorded a game-high 18 ground balls, while junior goalkeeper Luke Fajack (Chapel Hill, N.C./Bridgewater College) made nine saves in the game.
With the loss, the Panthers drop to 2-3 overall on the season. Birmingham-Southern returns to action at Huntingdon on Wednesday, Feb. 26.
