
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern softball completed the clean sweep of Southern Athletic Association rival Rhodes College Sunday. BSC (7-3, 3-0 SAA) defeated the Lynx 5-0 in the finale.
Shelby Lowery (Hoover, Ala./University of Montevallo) led the Panthers at the plate. She went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI. Morgan McGuire (Notasulga, Ala./Reeltown HS) also had a two-hit day. She finished .500 with an RBI.
Bailey Murphy (Trussville, Ala./University of South Alabama) pitched the complete game shutout, striking out six and giving up zero walks.
BSC hits the road next. They take on LaGrange College in a mid-week doubleheader on March 4. First game is set to begin at 4 p.m.
